While ChatGPT has moved to the forefront of media attention, many specialized applications have been integrated into our software portfolio almost unnoticed. AI-supported image editing: Smartrepair in Photoshop & Co.

A prime example of the unobtrusive but extremely useful use of AI are functions in Adobe Photoshop. In the past, cropping complex image motifs, such as blowing hair against a restless background, could take an entire working day. Today, AI completes this task in seconds - precisely and with impressive quality, it integrates seamlessly into our workflows and gives us more time for real artwork.

Audio optimization: Professional sound thanks to source separation

AI tools also provide valuable services in audio production. With the help of modern source separation software, we can analyze pieces of music and separate individual audio tracks - for example, the instrumental part from the vocal track. This is particularly useful when background music for videos or podcasts needs to be adapted without the vocals distracting from the spoken text. A small but effective trick for professional sound and real added value for message transfer.

Trade fair and event design: AI-supported visualization with Stable Diffusion

Our colleagues in the exhibition and event sector recently tested the integration of Stable Diffusion, an open source AI for text-to-image generation, into VectorWorks. Even if the results are not always 100% consistent, they enable quick visualizations and concept sketches. Especially in the early planning phase, such generated images are a game changer. They facilitate communication, make creative ideas more tangible and allow us to test out more ideas more quickly.

Moving images with AI: convincing experiments

One area where AI is making huge strides is video creation. With tools like runway.ml, we can animate static key visuals with just a few clicks and bring them to life. The leap in quality in just a few months is impressive - and shows the potential that this technology holds for the future.

ChatGPT: Our versatile assistant – used with care

Of course, we also use ChatGPT. Whether as a brainstorming partner or as support for programming - the tool saves time and inspires, even though we repeatedly find that the virtuoso use of figurative language and a certain wit is a unique human characteristic. We also attach great importance to the fact that all content is revised and checked by humans. Our customers can be sure that no email comes from a robot. We also take a conscious approach to AI models, as they should be viewed critically alongside their advantages.

Conclusion: AI as valuable support – but not as a replacement

Artificial intelligence is changing the creative industry, and we at WAJE are using it specifically to make our work more efficient and inspiring. But despite all the enthusiasm for the new possibilities, we always retain the human touch - because creativity, empathy and strategic thinking cannot be automated.
